What customers say

Many reviewers found the boot supportive, comfortable, and easier to walk in than bulkier walking boots, with several appreciating its lighter weight, curved sole, and adjustable air support. Fit was good for some, but sizing and platform length were inconsistent for others; a few also found it loose around the calf or the straps awkward and less secure. Concerns included heel or instep pressure, a boot that felt heavy or bulky to some, and wear to the liner or Velcro with use. One reviewer said the air pump did not work.

Ive used this and another surgeon boot

Ive used this and another surgeon boot from my surgeon. This is my favorite for stability and customization. I appreciate the support in the foot and the width underneath the foot. Great protection after reconstructive surgery, which I really need for transitioning to full weight bearing. The strong Velcro begins to shred and will wreck the liner. Use the Velcro slowly and carefully and consider buying a backup liner. This is not a big deal, and does not compromise the boot, just be aware and treat it with care.

I love this Gen 2 tall walking

I love this Gen 2 tall walking boot! I have a torn peroneal tendon with subluxation. The orthopedic surgeon put me in a Don Joy MaxTrax walking boot. It was terrible! It made my heel hurt, was heavy & clumsy, and did not help the subluxating of my tendon. I saw the Ovation Gen 2 tall boot and all the reviews. I ordered it with the thought nothing could be worse than the one the Dr. gave me. I love the Gen 2. It has been wonderful. I walk more normally...no heel problems and it supports my tendon SO much better! I would recommend it whole heartedly and would buy it again! Easier to walk with...less pressure on heel. Supports my ankle so much better. Not as heavy as the MaxTrax or as clumsy. Can wear it all day at work and not hurt my foot. None so far after 2 weeks.

So far great walking boot. I wear a 7.5 shoe in women and ordered a size small. Fits good. I had an ankle orif and had to use boot after sling. Work great.

This short boot was perfect for the ankle stability I needed in the later healing process of a broken fibula. It was relatively easy to put on and was comfortable. The air pump did not seem to work. Minor issue.

Did not

Did not work. Would not fit the calf because of thing to press for coution or whatever it is for. Had to return. Did not get full amount back from what I paid. Figured it is a restocking fee? Wouldve been lighter than what I have. Did not fit and larger size wouldve bee too long in the feet.

Sizing on these was

Sizing on these was disappointing. Initially I ordered a medium which was listed as the proper size for my foot based on shoe size (9), but the platform extended inches beyond my toe. It was uncomfortable and I was afraid I would end up tripping on it. I exchanged it for a small, and the platform on the small didn't extend far enough to protect my toe. Had to return. Other than that, the quality of the boot seems really good! Service, returns and exchanges were all excellent though! Seems to be constructed well Looks nicer than other walking boots Relatively lightweight Big gap between sizes

This boot is super comfy and is working really well. I fractured my foot and need this boot for 5 weeks. It feels lightweight on the leg and makes it super easy to get around.

Boot is lighter weight than the one

Boot is lighter weight than the one provided by my doctor. Lighter weight and shorter. Center strap on boot is too close to instep. With the open instep it makes contact with my instep and is very rough. Cuts into my foot. Had to put a pad over it. Instructions for the extra pads and how much air to put in would have been helpful.
