Foot-Up, The Ossur Foot Up AFO Ankle Brace uses an ankle cuff/inlay design to assist the ankle with dorsiflexion to achieve normal toe clearance during walking. Unlike ankle foot orthoses models constructed out of hard plastic, the Foot Up has a breathable ankle cuff strap that is secured around the ankle for support.

The AFO ankle brace cuff attaches to a clear plastic inlay that fits between the tongue of the shoe and the laces. With each step the cuff pulls on the inlay to assist clearing the foot to produce a normal stride. This AFO ankle brace is our lowest profile model, and comfortably fits inside almost any shoe! It is designed to be used for mild to moderate cases of foot drop where the patient can moderately assist with dorsiflexion of the ankle.

This revolutionary orthosis provides visible improvement in the patient's gait by providing support the moment the foot is raised. Yet, it is incredibly simple to fit and practically invisible when worn.

Innovation Sports introduces Foot-Up, a lightweight ankle-foot orthosis engineered to provide dynamic support for drop foot or similar complaints. This revolutionary orthosis provides visible improvement in the patient’s gait by providing support the moment the foot is raised. Yet, it is incredibly simple to fit and practically invisible when worn.

Foot-Up consists of two main parts: an ergonomic ankle strap and a plastic inlay. The plastic inlay fits discretely between the tongue and laces of the shoe and attaches to the ankle strap via a powerful elastic strap. The elastic strap features a quick release clip. The cushioned ankle strap is constructed from a breathable 3-layer material, which can be worn comfortably for long periods of time without causing skin irritation or impeding the foot’s range of motion.

The Foot-Up by Ossur for people needing

The Foot-Up by Ossur for people needing Drop Foot support are truly miracle workers! The Foot-Up by Ossur are easy to put on and very comfortable. I usually wear them with a tie shoe, but I have found a way to use a shoe with a double strap. I am female and now always wear slacks, etc. I am Okay with this as I would rather be able to walk than limp and fall.

This is a great product, simple, comfortable and reasonably priced. My only suggestion would be to add more of the pieces that go under the shoe laces so you could set up more than one pair of shoes! Makes walking as normal as possible for people with drop foot! Need to include more of the part that goes under the shoe laces for setting up different pairs of shoes.
