Rewards Program Terms
OrthoticShop Rewards is designed to give customers extra value on eligible physical merchandise purchases. These terms explain how points are earned, redeemed, and adjusted when an order changes.
How points are earned
- Customers earn 1 rewards point for every $1 of eligible physical merchandise purchased.
- Points are awarded when the order ships, not when the order is first placed.
- Rewards points are tied to the customer email address and customer account tracked in the OrthoticShop rewards system.
- Eligible spend is based on merchandise value only.
- Shipping, tax, gift cards, X-Redo, package-protection items, and similar non-merchandise charges do not earn points.
- If Shopify store credit is used on an order, the store-credit amount does not earn new points.
- Points are rounded down to whole-dollar merchandise spend. For example, $74.95 in eligible merchandise earns 74 points.
Current redemption options
Rewards can currently be redeemed for Shopify store credit in these fixed amounts:

Store credit is issued through Shopify and can be used at checkout by the matched Shopify customer account.
Refunds and order adjustments
- If an order is refunded, rewards points are deducted based on the refunded eligible merchandise amount.
- Refund reversals are rounded down. For example, a $39.45 eligible merchandise refund reverses 39 points.
- Refunds for shipping, tax, adjustments, gift cards, X-Redo, package-protection items, or other non-eligible charges do not reverse points.
- If a customer does not have enough points left to cover a refund reversal, the system may debit Shopify store credit for the shortfall when a Shopify customer account is matched.
- If store-credit debit cannot be completed, the customer rewards balance may be reduced to 0 and the adjustment may require review.
Accounting safeguards
- Rewards events are idempotent: an order should only earn points once, and a refund should only reverse points once.
- Rewards balances, earning events, redemptions, and refund adjustments are tracked in the OrthoticShop rewards ledger.
- OrthoticShop may review, correct, or reverse rewards activity caused by returns, cancellations, system errors, fraud, or misuse.
